My experience of my first internship at Reid Park was exciting and hot. Our supervisor's name was Howard. He was a very nice man. He assigned us to go all around the park and pick up pieces of trash with a bucket and a tool known as a grabber. What the tool does is it picks up anything. If you are working outside in the heat, please drink plenty of water, or you will suffer from heat stroke. Heat stroke is a condition marked by fever and unconsciousness caused by failure of the body's temperature regulators. Heat stroke happens when the body withstands very high temperatures. If you see someone having heat stroke, please call 911 immediately. At the end of our internship, we saw a man fixing his bike and playing rock music. Rock is one of my favorite kinds of music. For that, we had a very nice ending for our internship.
I went to Reid Park for an inter ship and we were picking up the trash and it was very hot. I also took some breaks during the job to cool off too! I had fun helping the park community by picking up the trash for them. I also had fun with my co workers and teacher at the park and we worked really hard to pick up all the trash. The supervisor named Howard is super nice to us and very understanding and he also gave us equipment like a trash grabber and a bucket to pick up the trash and putting it in the bucket. I also enjoyed walking around the park too. I think helping clean the park is a big community start because the park needs to be clean and not full of trash.
