What I loved about Wells Fargo was that it was an awesome bank and the people are very nice. It's where I have my bank account. I chose this bank because it is my parent's bank and I thought it would be the right fit for me. I would not choose a bank with rude people.
Today I learned about budgets was very interesting because it requires a lot of math. We also went to meet a banker at Wells Fargo and he explained a lot about a teen account and how we can put into the teen account and we can make get a card filled with money. We can also customize our cards and he also explained how to make our teen accounts and that we need our parents to help us with them. We also did withdrawals and it was very easy because we can just take out money.
The internships that I loved most about internships. We have the top 5.
5. The clothing boutique at the church. I loved helping the customers and the people were very nice. 4. Dressing the manaquin. It was really fun and we got some good dresses for her. 3. Reid Park. I loved the rose garden and I also really love nature. It was very beautiful. 2. Video projects. I thought interviewing the people was very awesome and it let me know some more information about them. 1. The JCC. I really loved seeing my old friends again. I know Allison very well. I loved seeing her again. It was my program for 10 years before coming to Workability. My last week of internships was very good and sad because it's our last week and they were really fun. My favorite internship was The Jewish Community Center because I got to help people and use the walkie talkies and learned how to use a printer to print out copies. I also liked going to the Methodist Church to help in the clothing banquet because I got to organize clothes and they all very cute! I really had fun at Autism Society of Southern Arizona because I got see and film what it looks like and the women named Brie was very nice.
This week of Workability, we went to film at Coffee Roasters and it was fun. We also went to Reid Park to pull grass and weeds. Then we went to The Methodist Church to help in the clothing bouquet. Then we went to The Jewish Community Center to work with the summer camp with the walkie talkie and made copies on the printer. Finally, we are learning about resumes and how to make a resume. I am really having fun and I really like Workability.
I loved Workability because it would teach individuals with disabilities the skills about writing a resume, how to interview for a job, helping at internship site, and helping me with all that as well. My internship sites include video and tech for Workability, park maintenance at Reid Park, clothing boutique at Christ Methodist Church, and the Tucson Jewish Community Center with the walkie-talkies, worked with the copy machine, assemble folders for members, and sort out member sheets alphabetically by the last name. I really loved Workability. It was a really fun experience for me. I am learning fast with it.
On Tuesday we went to Reid park and worked at the rose garden. We plowed and raked up the weeds and dead leaves!
On Wednesday we went to the clothing church and cleaned up the emty hangers and took them to the back. And we dressed up the manikene with 2 pretty pink dresses. On Thursday we went to the JCC and did the walky talkes and we made copys at the upstairs copy mushine! We went to Rise and we interviewed a supervisor.
Rise is a special kind of store that does recycling and reselling technology. The Timothy was 1 of the supervisors at Rise. We asked him questions about WA and Rise. Today we went to the JCC and we talked on walkies talkies and we also gave copies to Maria. We also did lots of printing at Allison's desk and it was really fun! I also saw some teamwork at the JCC for example, I saw Allison and Kim work together, and Amber and Allison work together to get the copies that I printed out! I also saw everyone at JCC help the children a lot and we also worked together to fix the printer by putting paper in it. I really had fun today with my teacher, Amanda, my best friend Amber, and my supervisor, Allison.
We filmed other people and worked on editing at Tucson Downtown Partnership. We added titles to our videos and pictures and credits. We also interviewed the CEO of Tucson Downtown Partnership and she was very nice. The easy part was filming and the hardest part was editing the video. The editing was very hard but we got the video done.
