My experience of my first internship at Reid Park was exciting and hot. Our supervisor's name was Howard. He was a very nice man. He assigned us to go all around the park and pick up pieces of trash with a bucket and a tool known as a grabber. What the tool does is it picks up anything. If you are working outside in the heat, please drink plenty of water, or you will suffer from heat stroke. Heat stroke is a condition marked by fever and unconsciousness caused by failure of the body's temperature regulators. Heat stroke happens when the body withstands very high temperatures. If you see someone having heat stroke, please call 911 immediately. At the end of our internship, we saw a man fixing his bike and playing rock music. Rock is one of my favorite kinds of music. For that, we had a very nice ending for our internship.
I went to Reid Park for an inter ship and we were picking up the trash and it was very hot. I also took some breaks during the job to cool off too! I had fun helping the park community by picking up the trash for them. I also had fun with my co workers and teacher at the park and we worked really hard to pick up all the trash. The supervisor named Howard is super nice to us and very understanding and he also gave us equipment like a trash grabber and a bucket to pick up the trash and putting it in the bucket. I also enjoyed walking around the park too. I think helping clean the park is a big community start because the park needs to be clean and not full of trash.
I am so exited for the internships this week.
I'm looking forward to going to the rid park we are going to the park next to the zoo to paint tomorrow.
I'm also looking forward to going to the JCC on Thursday.
What I am not looking forward to is the church on Wednesday.
What I'm most exited for is going to the J CC on Thursday.
My first day at an internship was the most exciting. Our specialist taught us how to use proper video etiquette. Do not film vertically, always film horizontally. You can take a picture going vertically or horizontally. Make sure you have a good background when you are interviewing someone or taking a picture of them, not in a small hallway. Go outside and have a tree, bush, etc. in the background. You can also have a nice wall in the background. You can get some artwork in the background as well. Don't get the camera in the person's face. You want their full face inside the frame of the video or picture. Use props when you are doing an interview. Props make it better. For example, you can use a marker as a microphone like the person is speaking into it.
What I am most excited about internships is going to the JCC. That was the summer camp I have been going to since the year 2009. I loved all the things I did there. It was incredible. Another internship I am excited for is going to Reid Park. I love painting things and doing art. So this will be good for me.
Today I learned about inter ships and how many inter ships there are and I learned how to video inter ships. The inter ships I'm most excited about is the inter ship Rise and The Autism Society because I love technology and helping people with autism too! I'm really excited about making videos for the inter ships for other classes too. I also can't not wait to edit the videos and post them all on social media, so people all over the world can see the different inter ships and what Work Ability is. I also learned to always film horizontal because if you film vertical it will show two black lines which is terrible for people around the world to watch. I think filming and the inter ships will be fun because I'll learn how to work and learn how to make video for the world to see and comment about it. I want to show people that even if I have a disability that doesn't stop me from getting a job.
I think the inter ships will help me because I'll learn how to work and get a job and learn how to interview people at their job. I also will learn how to make a video and edit on a program called Final Cut Pro, which I have used at school in my Digital Media class! I also want people to see what different jobs there are in Tucson Arizona too. I also want to learn a lot about every inter ship and I go and what they do. I think people need to know that people with disabilities of any kind can work too!
The first time I was criticized was in the spring of 2008 in Elementary School. I was having an incredible day at school when some boy came up to me and said, "You look so ugly!!!" I felt very ashamed. My best friend responded, "He is not ugly! Stop criticizing him!" The boy wouldn't stop doing it. I told a monitor and walked to the site where it happened. The boy threatened the monitor and was sent immediately to the principal. The principal gave the boy a week of suspension. I was so sorry to be criticized by a bully at school.
On my Freshmen year at Canyon Del Oro H.School in a class I was being called a 3 year old.
And it wasn't nice but I stood up for myself by saying I'm not a 3 year old and it never happend again.
On my Junior year when a sudent was talking to me rudy I just ignured him.
The time I was criticized during my freshman year in my English class was the time I wrote an essay about the character named Scout from To Kill a Mocking Bird. I remember the teacher aide named Ms. Susan looked at my essay and said you need to do add some quotes in your essay and it's can be about one character in the story. I said I need help rewriting my essay, Ms. Susan and she helped me with my essay in class and we worked on it during my fourth period class and we got it done. I was happy Ms. Susan helped me on my essay and she was so positive about correcting my essay and that is an example of constructive criticism. I listened to Ms. Susan and I asked her to help me correct my essay and I got an A in my English class during my freshmen year.
The time that I was criticized was when I post a level in the game, Geometry Dash. Whenever I post a level to the online servers, players would play it and comment about it, mostly if my level has any missing, or empty areas, or if it has any "Bugs", or certain parts that will break the game-play. Some comments are helpful, and it helps me fix any parts on the level, or see what parts stand out the most, via game-play, or decoration effects, and what parts still need working on. Other times, however, some people would leave rather rude comments, or offensive things that would make me feel hurt, but I would ignore it, because I know that the internet may have a few rude people.
One time, I was going to Skate Country with a camp. I put on my skates and got on the skating floor. I was going really fast and I fell on my front. My forehead really hurt and I had bruises on my stomach. A bruise is a kind of wound that bleeds internally. I failed at this task. Five years later, my mom wanted me to take roller skating lessons. I learned that on roller skates, you only walk on carpet, not on a skating floor. Do not lean forward when skating. I kept trying to do so and didn't give up. I got better. I still lost balance. Whenever I roller skate, I need a partner to hold on to me.
