I remember during my sophomore year of high school, I failed my geometry test and my grade drop to a D. I was so worried that I might fail second semester of my Geometry class. Then I talked to my teacher named Ms.Brown and she said that I can retake the test that I failed on. I went to the Special Education classroom which is Room 301 and I asked Ms. Vollmer if she could help me on redoing the test and she said that an aide in the classroom could help me. So Ms. Vollmer went to get Mr.Eric from the computer and Mr.Eric said Mercedez, let's work on correcting the test. Then, we finished correcting the test and the next day I turned the test in to Ms.Brown and my grade went up to a B for my final grade and I was happy about my grade. I just kept working hard in Geometry to get a good grade and never gave up.
Positive Mental Attitude (PMA) is not something that you're born with. You choose to do it. What PMA looks like in the work place is staying focused, getting your job done, obeying your supervisor, and having a positive attitude. Your hands should be unfolded and have a nice tone of voice. Your voice should be at a loudness of 25-30 decibels. Always be kind to your supervisor, co-workers, customers, and yourself.
Today we learned about Positive Mental Attitude and it means you can have a positive attitude at your job. It also means you can be in a good mood at your job and that you are happy. Positive Mental Attitude can be you choosing to having a positive attitude or a negative attitude. Positive Mental Attitude isn't something you are born with you have to chose to be positive or negative to people. It also means that you are nice to your other co workers at work when you have Positive Mental Attitude or even happy to everyone. It also can mean that you like your job and it tells people that you are in a good mood.
I think Positive Mental Attitude is a good way of showing your co workers that you respect them and that your boss respects you too. It also can show your customs that you are in a good mood and that you really like your job. I think Positive Mental Attitude can be shown in body language to show your co workers, your boss, and the customs that you are in a good mood. Positive Mental Attitude means being energetic or willing to be at work and being friendly to customs too. If you are in a bad mood you can kindly tell your boss that you aren't feeling well or take deep breaths for a couple of minutes. What I Liked about It I liked learning about self determination. I really liked talking about what to expect when you get a job. I liked talking about what you are. I also liked learning about what you do when you get a type of a job. I liked talking about what you should do when you have a job. I also really liked talking about what you do when you're on your own. This week at Work ability I learned about what Work ability experts from us. I also learned about what self determination is and we watched videos about people with disabilities. I learned about my classmates and my teacher. I learned about mission statements and we made posters about mission statements. I learned how to fill in an application at UCPSA and asking questions to the employees who work there. I also learned how to work with my classmate named Amber on a project, which was really fun. I learned that we need to sign in and out of Work ability on the first day of class. I also learned how to job search on the internet for jobs I really liked.
I think the things I liked at Work ability this first week was learning what Work ability experts from us and how it can help us learn how to get a job. I also liked watching the videos about people with disabilities and how they can have so many jobs. The next thing, I liked was my teacher and my classmates because they are really nice and supportive in many ways to me. I really liked filling out an application for UCPSA and asking the employees questions about the job itself. I think Work ability is a very helpful program for me and people with disabilities because it teaches us how to work, fill in an application, and asking questions to your co workers and your boss. I really liked learning about Self determination because it means you can defend your rights for yourself without having other people telling you what to do and what you can't do. |
