Today our group went to Triple Play in Green Valley to do our internship. We had a lot of fun. For starters, the students loved feeling like they were part of the crew when the owner gave them tee shirts with the Triple Play logo on them to wear during their shift! We did our orientation and walked around the restaurant a bit and toured the outdoors. Some of the tasks we did today were cleaning up the Miniature golf area, cleaned tables and chairs and poured sodas for customers. Valerie even had a chance to run food out to customers with one of the employees. Andrews favorite job was pouring the drinks for the customers. Sometimes he made a few mistakes or forgot to put ice in the cups, but he was able to fix his mistakes. The students loved that the customers were very patient and friendly with them. They understood the importance of having a clean area for the customers to sit down and enjoy their meals. They thought the owner Mr. Joe Reiman and his daughter Mrs. Caity Marcum were very nice! At one point before the restaurant opened for business, the students were able to take a little break and the owner asked them to make sure the Air Hockey game worked well! They loved playing Air Hockey. Andrew won a few games against Valerie and was very happy about it!
