We played water balloons, we threw them at the wall. When they hit the wall they splash everywhere. WE also threw a ball at the wall. It came back.
The water balloons represent when something hard happens and you explode about it. Exploding could be having a melt down or a tantrum or lashing out at other people.
The ball represented resilience which is the ability to bounce back after something hard happens to you. Hard things could be losing somebody in your family, losing a friend, rejection like from a job, getting sick or injured.
When we explode like the water balloon it affects other people too, like how it splashed the people near by. We want to be as resilient as possible and not allow things to make us explode.
We want to be bouncy balls not waterballoons!
