On our fourth week, we took a bus tour with Sun Tran. One of the bus drivers spoke with us. She taught us about safety, how to request a stop, no food or drink unless the drink has a closed top, no smoking or vaping, no weapons, how to get a Sun Go card, and how to find a route. Afterwards, we got Eegee's from Vanessa. We also got little Sun Tran flashlight key-chains, Sun Tran sunglasses, a Sun Tran user guide, and a routes/schedules book.

Week #1, Green Team This is our first week of summer class! This week, we learned about job skills, relaxing music (when we get settled in). In our "I'm Determined" document, we put STRENGTHS, INTERESTS, PREFERENCES, and NEEDS. We also laminated them. We also watched videos about professionalism, and disabilities. We worked as a class to create our goals and signed it together. We also learned about transportation, and options. We also created a journal and put our favorite motivational quote on the back.
WE CAN'T WAIT UNTIL ANOTHER WEEK BEGINS!!!! What are the most important things to remember in order to have a good interview?
Casey-Have good eye contact, talk about your job experience, dress nice clothes Elijah- smile, tell the truth, talk about your strengths. For example, "I'm a hard worker." Wear a button-up shirt. Reina- a positive attitude, good handshake, talk about your skills. Manuel- Bring questions, a resume and references. Think of a time when you wanted to give up on something but you didn’t. What was the situation? Why didn’t you give up? How did you deal with it?
"I never gave up on taking care of my cats. They like to run around my house a lot. I had to chase them to feed them. I felt angry, but I didn't give up because I love my cats," Casey. "I use to struggle with reading. I practiced and I got better at it. I believed in myself that I know I can do it," Reina. "I was never that good at playing sports. I decided one day that I could learn to play racquetball. It was difficult at first, but I kept trying because I believe that anyone can play sports and eventually learned how to play it," Manuel. What does a bad attitude look like and how can it get you in trouble at work?
Elijah- you can get grumpy and mad. you might hit someone. or yell at someone. you can get arrested and they might hit you back. If you get fired, it is going to be harder to find another job. Casey- If you have a bad attitude, it can keep you from doing your work. It can bother the coworkers. You can lose your job and you won't get any money. Reina- A bad attitude looks like a grumpy cat that is hissing. They fold their arms and scrunch their face. You can get in to trouble with the boss. Manuel- A person with a bad attitude looks like an angry, wet monkey. When they frown, pout, and sulk, it sends a message that they don't care even if they actually do. Ryan- If you have a bad attitude at work, you can get fired. Green Squad Qualifications

I will miss helping clean WorkAbility. I will also miss Big Heart Coffee, Pawsitvley Cats, and the Abbie School. I learned how to sweep,I learn how to clean tables and chairs. I also cleaned windows an door knobs. I learned how to shred papers, it was my favorite part.
'I will miss volunteering at Big Heart Coffee Shop, because I really liked helping people, and helping them clean. I am going to miss going to all of the internships sites.
