They serve lunch, people go eat when they are hungry. I want to work at Applebee's. They have to wear a hat, microphone, shirt with a tie, some pants, and closed toe shoes. I like the hamburgers and chicken from there.
We will be starting our new internships next week. We will be going to:
Isabel is most excited to go to the Live Theater Workshop. Isabel is looking forward to organizing costumes.
Chase is looking forward to working at Reid Park and being outdoors.
Edgar is eager to see the Live Theater Workshop and likes to clean and sweep.
We also made lists of some jobs we are interested in. Our internships let us try tasks so we can decide what we might like to do at a job. We also learn what we don't like to do.
The Sun Tran is a bus that goes around Tucson. I have a guide book that tells me where I could go on the bus. The bus stops when I push the button. The drivers are very nice and happy. At the presentation they gave me a fan, sunscreen, and a book.
I learned that I have to take a water bottle because we walked a lot. I also had to wear blue gloves to pick up trash. We had to go around and picked trash up from the sidewalks. I had to wear shoes, pants, purple shirt, and a purple hat.
I go to WorkAbility and we did teamwork activities. It made me feel well. A teammate was blindfolded and I couldn’t talk, it was a little hard to communicate, but we figured it out. Teamwork is important in class.
To have good hygiene you wash dirty hands, stay clean, wash teeth, comb hair, shave, have clean nails, smell good, and wear professional cloths. Shower with shampoo when you are going to work.
