I went to gospel supplies and found books and movies on animals. I went to Petco and held a Ferret for the first time . I liked my classroom and my teacher Yvette. I[m looking forward to coming back.
I cannot believe that this is our final week of Workability, time sure does fly by when you are having fun but these 8 weeks have been challenging. But otherwise it has been really fun for me. Even if it took me a while to get used to things I still had fun while I was here.
Out of all those places I went to my favorite places were
Even though I have 3 days left my favorite memory was on Thursday when I had to teach Domonique how to do some cleaning even though I was a little out of it, it taught me to be more patient with people.
I made some friends along the way, Anna, Jasmine, Yvette, Domonique and Daniel.
What I learned over these 8 weeks:
This program taught me what I need to work on to be a positive person. Also it is important to figure out what you want to be or do so you don’t end up being at a job that you will end hating. The other thing I learned was the fact that you can always have fun but not too much fun to the point you get fired.
It is also important to make sure you are not getting taken an advantage of.
In the long run I am glad I had the chance to come to this program because I think I have become a better person at home and when I am not home. I was kind of shocked that I learned so much that I thought I would never learn.
I just want to say Thank You
Hannah, Yvette, Lisa
I was at Yellow, Brick, Coffee, I was on time and I was polite and I greeted people as they came in.
At Pawstively Cats I mopped the floors and swept the floors and I Played with the cats.
At Blue Moon I did the same thing mopped a big floor, the water gets dirty really fast. So kept changing the water.
This week I Learned the S.T.A.R. method meaning Situation,Task, Actions, Result. i used the S.T.A.R. method in job interviews.
During interviewing you have to be professional. Examples of being professional are being on time shaking hands; eye contact ; greetings and dressing for the job.
Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
