Mock Interviews

I did practice interviews Tuesday. Dom and I interviewed each other. It was helpful practicing with Dom. I also learned the differences between good interviews and bad interviews. Good is showing up on time,  and bad is dressing casually.  I did some research about Olive Garden. I did mock interviews with DeeDee’s Dad. It was very helpful practicing with DeeDee’s Dad!  I also learned about some feedback on how my mock interview went.  I got hired!

Mock Interviews

Today I had a practice interview. I used a script for the time I was in the practice. It’s was OK doing the interview.
I'm working on not needing the script. My advise is that  interviews are easy and simple with a little practice so don't worry you will do great!

Bus and Transportation

Yesterday, I went on a SunTran bus downtown and enjoyed it very much. It costs $1.50! We went to see the Transportation Museum and the Courthouse where I asked for an application for a job. My favorite part of the trip was the Transportation Museum!!

August 24th, 2016

Yesterday I went on a Sun Tran bus. The bus number was Route 3. I went to the Southern Arizona Transportation Museum. They had volunteers who answered questions and took us on a tour of the locomotive. To remember this trip I got 4 pens!  I  asked for an application. I also went to the Tucson City Courthouse. We had to remove items from our pockets and go through the metal detector. It was a good trip!

Bus Training

We are  taking a Bus called Sun Tran to Ronstadt  center we will visit the the transportation museum.
Then to the courthouse, then  to the fox Tucson Theater, then to empire pizza & pub.

UPDATE 8/24 by Andrea
I didn't go on the bus yesterday because I had a meeting. I wanted to go Downtown. I would have like to ask for an application at Empire Pizza on 137 E Congress St, Tucson, AZ 85701. The jobs they have there are:
  • Cashier
  • Making Pizza
  • Customer Service
  • Put Together Boxes
  • Delivery Driver

We looked at maps on SunTran Website. I planned a trip from my house to Tucson Mall on the bus. I might like to work at Build-A-Bear Workshop at Tucson Mall.

P.M.A.

I learned about P.M.A.  PMA means   Positive Mental Attitude. I was interested in this topic because I

Positive:  It means to be more calm and carry on don’t worry about what happens in your home life when you are at work.

Mental: Is to control your anger

Attitude: You choose your attitude

Praise,Criticism, Feedback

I learned how to do Feedback and Criticism.

Praise is saying nice things like "hey good job at the game".

Criticism is not so nice like "hey you did horrible at the game"
.
Feedback is  telling the person what  they did well  like "hey you did good at the game but you could  hustle more but your goal was great!"

Positive Attitude

Keep thinking positive and let PMA (Positive Mental Attitude) be your guide.
Walt Disney- a cartoonist who was told by the editor of the Kansas City newspaper, “It’s easy to see from these sketches that you have no talent.”
Whoopi Goldberg- a famous actress who dropped out of high school and held a variety of odd jobs, including doing the hair and make-up for corpses before finally succeeding in show business.
Col. Sanders- an inventor of a fried chicken recipe that was rejected by more than 1000 restaurant owners.
Do not lose your cool and keep on trying!!
