I am going to miss everyone. I made a lot of friends here. I even made a new friend. I have learned a lot while I was here. I learned about budgeting, praise, positive feedback, criticism. I will never forget all the nice things that the teachers and staff did for me. Like being there when I need to talk or calling me if I forgot something. I will never forget how you all made me feel when I first came to Workability. The kindness that I received while I was here made me believe in second chances. And also in forgiveness. To all my friends here at Workability, Thank you.

My Day With A Handi-Dog A lady named Susan and her dog named Darcey came to our class yesterday. Susan talked to us about what it is like to have a Handi-dog. Darcey can help tell when your sugar is low or when you are going to have a seizure. We all got to pet her and I also gave her a treat. She did a cool trick like in Tombstone! Her handler pretended to shoot her and she dropped and rolled over. It was funny! She will pick up anything you drop that you can’t pick up yourself. She also is a great companion to have because she can make your life better. You can get a dog from a dog shelter to train. I Learned About Disclosure!Disclosure is knowing when to tell about your disability and how. I also learned about the pros and cons of disclosure. I have decided it is better to disclose before you get the job. For example, in a cover letter or on the phone, or even in the interview. Also, it best to be honest in the interview. Knowing your team is another big thing you need to know when getting a job. The job coach is there to help you while you are in an interview.
By Wendi I was interviewing for a position at Sprouts called a stocker. It is a practice interview so you can see what a real interview is like. For example:
Tell me about yourself? For that question I answered that I am a hard worker, organized, team player. And that I have been stocking shelves for 7 years at Goodwill. Also I have a passion for working with customers and stocking shelves. Tell me what you know about this company? This is what I said” I know that you started as a fruit stand 74 years ago by members of the Boney family”. Also I said” you have stores from coast to coast.” That is some of the questions you will be asked hope this was helpful for you to see what it is like in an interview. My Day At WorkabilityI learn about a lot of different things like team work. Also I saw ants working together to strip leaves off of a tree when I was at Yellow Brick Coffee. We will be putting in an herb garden and compost bin at Yellow Brick Coffee. I get to draw on some pots to make them pretty. I am looking forward to learning more about the other things like this week we are talking about positive mental attitude (PMA). This class is fun because of all the things I am learning.
