Networking helps you to get to know new people and talk to them about work.

When looking for a job it is important to network with those who work at the job site or go on twitter or other chatroom website. Make sure that you practice the three P’s (Prepare, Practice, and Pull Yourself Together) or they will not think you are serious. If you are nervous try networking with family or friend to make the networking with new people a lot easier. RJ A mock interview is how you practice for a real interview. You get to learn about the good things you do and you also get to learn about what you can work on. You get to practice wearing professional clothing. I wasn't too nervous. I think it has helped me be prepared for an interview. My advice is try to concentrate on the questions, answer honestly, and SMILE!!
I have a dream to work at Costco and have a very successful career there. Workability is helping me reach this goal by:
You must always figure out the right bus route that you’re looking for.
You must have the exact bus fare which is $1.50 if you don’t and you pay with a 5 dollar bill you will not get change back. When sitting in the front of the bus if an elderly woman or a woman with a baby comes on the bus it is courteous to give up your seat. When you see your stop you pull the cord and that will signal the driver to stop so you can get off. RJ Here is my advice for Job Interviews:
Elijah We discussed that sleep is the most important part of your life because you spend the majority of your life sleeping regrettably but it is instinctual. We talked about calories and sugars that we ingest every day to get the energy we need however that does not mean you can chug a monster for that small boost.
RJ This week, I went to the store and I looked for hygiene supplies at Walmart to help with getting a job and keeping it. I also looked at professional clothing for interviews. It is best to wear a collared shirt, no jeans or tennis shoes. It would be better to wear khakis instead of cargo pants. If you are wearing dark pants and shoes then wear dark socks not white. Make sure you wear a belt and that your clothes aren’t too baggy. Make sure you brush your teeth, floss, and use mouthwash. Don’t wear a hat and make sure your hair is clean, trimmed, and brushed. Take a shower and use deodorant but be careful not to put on too much cologne. Being professional means proper hygiene and grooming, being on time, and being productive.
Elijah I liked talking about food, books, and Disney. I also liked talking to our guest speaker Mr. Mason from Popcorn Country. I learned about teamwork and what I bring to the team. I bring a positive attitude and I always try my best!
Lindy Mr. Mason was our guest speaker from Popcorn Country.
He was very nice and informative. Plus he brought us samples of popcorn! He told us about many things including the dress code and what makes a good employee. Elijah |
