People don't know about disability disclosure. It makes searching for jobs more difficult than it should be. People with disabilities are treated like babies but they're actually real people that are adults. All people with disabilities should have an equal chance like everybody else. We all have problems. Maybe their problems don't show as much, but they're there. We deserve an equal shot.
I learned a lot in nine weeks of class. It was really good to take this class for me. One of my classmates is okay. Is that good? I have my meeting today about my next step. It should go well.

I went to Walgreen's. I saw:
Toneta I learned a lot of experience about getting a REAL job by doing mock interviews this week. This is teaching me to get a REAL job. That is why I'm in this class. So when I go to an interview, it won't look like I'm dead. Today, I was walking really slow. But that's the truth though. I am really interested in getting voice typing program set up for my computer, so I can voice my opinions. I was kidding about looking like I'm dead. I do type really slow though.
you take care of your self--your mental state and your physical appearance. Make sure you're clean everyday when you go to work, when you get a job. Make sure you take care of your feet. Make sure you don't have open toed shoes, depending on the job you have, you don't want to break your toe. When you go to work, or you walk in an office, you have to look presentable, so that you get the job. Whatever job you have, you can't work in flip flops. If you work at a hardware store and someone drops something on your foot, you have to sue them. But you can't sue them if they drop something on your foot. Yes you can, if your foot is broken and it's heavy. It depends on the situation. That makes sense. I never worked in a hardware store.
I want to work in the community with people. I think I would enjoy helping other people with disabilities. I would like to work with children with disabilities and adults with disabilities like me.
It's our first blog for the fall class. We're setting up our email addresses. We're learning about blogging, and we're learning about about appropriate and professional communication/interaction.
