To start the Workshop we talked about the orientation packet and our learning styles. It is important to know your learning style so you can be your best! If you are at a job and the boss starts telling you some things you need to do, but you are a visual learner, then you can use your self-advocacy skills to speak up and let your boss know you will do a better job if you can put the tasks on a checklist.
Next we also learned about safety at work, home, and the community. In order to be safe you may need to practice the safety skills, like how to say no.
