We learned about making healthy food choices. We looked at recipes and went to YouTube to watch videos on how to actually make the recipe. You can learn to make anything on YouTube! We talked about ways to make food healthier like using olive or coconut oil, limiting red meat to a few times a week, and cutting fat by using reduced fat milk and cheeses. We compared frying to baking and sautéing. We talked about limiting soda and choosing to eat a piece of fruit instead. Today I brought a healthy organic fig bar for my snack instead of Doritos!
